The District will conduct an optional virtual pre-bid meeting and jobsite tours to familiarize prospective bidders with the project site and conditions: The pre-bid meeting will be conducted virtually on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at 9:00 a.m., and will last approximately 1 hour. An overview of the project and videos of the work areas will be presented at the meeting. Requirements of the District's Contract Equity Program, including the pilot Local Hire component, will be discussed. Pre-bid jobsite tours will be held in 90-minute sessions. Each tour session will have a maximum of 4 contractors, with a maximum of 3 attendees per contractor, for a maximum of 12 attendees (Attendees) per session. Jobsite tours are available at the following times: Wednesday, September 30: 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm; Thursday, October 1: 8:00 am, 9:30 am, 12:30 pm, and 2:00 pm. Prospective bidders interested in attending the pre-bid meeting and/or jobsite tour shall email Miles Mok (miles.mok@ebmud.com) no later than Tuesday, September 22, 2020, with the following information: Attendee names, emails, and phone numbers; Company/contractor name; Indicate if interested in prime contractor or subcontractor; Preferred jobsite tour time. Bonds & prevailing wages apply. Work includes demolition and replacement of the compressed air system and polymer feed system. Work also includes installation of a new storm water effluent gate with remote control, vehicle-accessible driveway, exterior lighting, and related work.
