GP&L Distribution Offices (Distribution Bay Area) located at 1755 Gasoline Alley, Garland, Texas 75040
Request for bids for work and selected materials for the Garland Power & Light (GP&L) Oakland to McCree 69kV Transmission Line Improvements. The project involves installation of 0.50 miles of new Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) on an existing single circuit overhead 69kV transmission line including associated hardware replacements. The work also includes installation of three new tubular steel transmission structures as well as removal of three existing timber transmission structures, existing overhead static wire, and existing communications underbuild fiber. OPGW installation begins at the existing GP&L McCree Substation and ends at the existing GP&L Oakland Substation, all in the City of Garland, Texas. Transmission structure installation will include transfer and termination of existing ACSS/TW 556.5 Dove transmission phase conductors as shown in the project plans. Attachment of existing distribution underbuild circuit(s) and miscellaneous underbuild will be required. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.Q&A due 10/30/20 at 3PM.
