The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners invites all interested qualified firms and teams of firms to submit proposals for various Engineering Services for the Department. The requested services are “as-needed” and it is anticipated that more than one firm will be selected to ensure the Department has a broad range of expertise and schedule availability. The number of firms selected will at the discretion of the Department based upon the anticipated needs and qualifications of firms. The initial term of the annual contracts will be for the calendar year 2023 with an option to renew annually up to 4 additional terms. The selected firm(s) shall act as the Engineer for the project on behalf of the Department, upon authorization. A lead firm may team with and subcontract to additional firms (subconsultants) in order to expand engineering services and expertise. Teams of firms (proposal teams) will be considered and all firms in a proposal team will be evaluated collectively. The Department does not have a preference for, nor against proposal teams. However, note there are special requirements pertaining to proposal teams and subconsultants in this RFP. This Contract is expected to begin on January 1, 2023 and will terminate on December 31, 2023 with the option to renew for four (4) additional one (1) year periods.
