This project will take place in Harmon Hall and Gordon Hall Dorm Buildings. The scope of work is to abate/demolish and replace flooring in both dorm buildings. Each dorm has three floors. Each floor contains sixteen quad resident rooms and two single resident rooms all with private bathrooms. Included in the project are three stair wells in each building. The first floor in each building has office space, public toilets and an apartment for the Resident Director that are not part of the project. The large common area between the buildings on the First Floor is not part of this project. Asbestos sampling and testing have been completed by Ravi Engineering and Paradigm. A full asbestos design has been completed based on the findings and is included in the Project Manual. The flooring project will replace the 9x9 tile in the Resident Rooms with carpet tile and rubber wall base. The 9x9 tile in the Trash Room will be replaced with rubber sheet flooring and rubber wall base. The corridor and common space carpet will be replaced with carpet tiles and rubber base. The First Floor entrance corridor sheet vinyl will be replaced with walk-off carpet tile and rubber base. The 9x9 tiles and rubber flooring and treads in the stairwells will be replaced with new rubber flooring and treads.
