Owner Reference: 2021-027

Pre-Bid: 06/23/2021
City of Gaithersburg, Department of Public Works, 800 Rabbitt Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20878. There will be three pre-submission meetings: June 16, 2021 at 10:00 AM, June 23, 2021 at 10:00 AM, and June 30, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Offerors are expected to bring a copy of all the Solicitation Documents to the pre-submission meeting of their choice.

The City is soliciting proposals for the purpose of securing the services of a licensed and qualified contractor with experience in building and replacing fueling stations for the demolition and rebuilding of the City’s municipal fueling station. The overall objective is to provide a turnkey project to rebuild one completely operational municipal vehicle fueling facility. The underground fuel storage tanks at City’s municipal vehicle fueling station are approximately 27-years old. The three current underground storage tanks (USTs) are 10,000 gallon each and do not meet the U.S. EPA’s updated regulations for secondary spill containment (40 CFR Part §280.21) & interstitial leak monitoring (40 CFR Part §280.40). The current USTs are not doubled walled (for secondary containment) and the fuel dispensing pumps are analog and therefore are not as accurate as the more up-to-date digital dispensing pumps. The project will include the replacement of the tanks, pumps, dispensing units, monitoring system and all of the associated piping & wiring. Q&A due by 2pm, 7/7/21. Bonds required.
