The purpose of the project is to construct sidewalks and other improvements on East Alameda Street and Sequoia Drive. Work includes, but it is not limited to, construction of sidewalks, reconstruction of drive approaches, modify existing rolling gates, construction of wheelchair ramps, relocate existing industrial park entry monuments, modifications to private parking lots, reconstruction of through the curb culverts, modify/relocate existing SCE owned street lighting as necessary, modify/relocate existing water meter vaults, irrigation and landscaping modifications, etc. Depending on the design concept selected, construction may also involve reconstruction of curb and gutters, curb returns, AC pavement, striping, etc. The proposed improvements are intended to assist pedestrian traffic to and from Simon Rodia High School, located at the east end of the Sequoia Drive cul-de-sac.
