The project consists of 1.5 miles of the Southern New England Trunkline Trail (SNETT) as a fully accessible, multi-use 10-foot-wide shared-use path in Bellingham. The new segment will run between Route 126/Harpin Road in the west to Center Street in the east. It will connect to approximately four miles of existing trail running east from Center Street to Grove Street in the Town of Franklin, passing through the recently built Prospect Street underpass. The work is to be accomplished within 730 calendar days of a notice to proceed. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Massachusetts Dept. of Transportation (MassDOT) Highway Division in Highway-Bike Paths. MBE/WBE goal is 10.4% and VOBE goal is 3%.
