The City is seeking artists or artist teams with experience in the design, fabrication, and installation of public artworks that will serve to expand access to public art, foster wayfinding and make available artwork of the highest quality to enhance the quality of life for trailhead patrons and ensure long-term enjoyment and maintenance sustainability. Artists are asked to submit their qualifications along with a design proposal to be considered for this important project. YoloArts, as the Art in Public Places (APP) consultant, is assisting the City of West Sacramento to solicit applicants for the potential commissioning of the project and is interested in the highest quality artwork that is site-specific and is aligned with the project criteria. See attached for details. $20,000 is available for all related expenses of this commission including, but not limited to, artist fees, fabrication, insurance, shipping, travel, installation, documentation, etc. The initial term of the Contract is at the City's discretion and may be up to 1 year. Questions are due by Oct 3rd and submitted via the on-line bidding system used by the City.
