1. The Contractor will provide a written Schedule for the work to be included in bid package. 2. All streets will be milled to a minimum depth of 2” and the paving will be 3” in depth. a. Unita Road: i. Approximately 500 linear feet ii. 16 feet width iii. One (1) man-hole iv. One (1) water valve v. Asphalt curbing/berm 1. 50 linear feet of 6” curbing b. Via Chula Vista (portion of street as identified by project manager): i. Approximately 825 linear feet ii. Varying from 12 – 20 feet width iii. One (1) man-hole iv. Two (2) water valves 3. The bid shall list each road individually with a cost for each one in either square yards or square feet, per ton prices will not be accepted. 4. The Contractor shall place the asphalt when the ambient temperature is 50 degrees and rising. 5. All areas shall be thoroughly cleaned of debris and treated with a tack coat to ensure bonding of the top mat. 6. All wastes shall be disposed of by the Contractor on a daily basis. 7. The Contractor is responsible for hauling away all millings. 8. Leveling courses should be identified and included in the cost estimate if deemed necessary. 9. All manholes and valves shall be adjusted as needed by the Contractor, the Contractor will provide any and all grade rings. 10. Soft or unstable subgrade shall be removed and replaced as needed. 11. The Contractor shall provide all necessary traffic control, all traffic control personal must at a minimum carry a current CDOT Flagger Certification. A Traffic Control Plan must be submitted to and approved by City staff prior to beginning of project. 12. The mill and paving projects shall follow Colorado Springs paving and testing guidelines as described in the Colorado Springs Standard Specifications Manual. 13. Prior to the start of paving, the Contractor must attend a project kick-off meeting with the City. 14. The Contractor shall notify all residents on each street at least 1 week in advance as to the date(s) and time the mill and paving will take place by door hangers. Work shall be arranged in such a manner as to cause a minimum inconvenience to the public and abutting residents. Full street closures should be avoided. 15. The Contractor will give residents at least 24 hours’ notice if access to their driveways will be blocked at any time. 16. Work hours are Monday – Friday, 7am-7pm. 17. The Contractor is responsible for damages, inside or outside the project area, and is encouraged to photo log current conditions and maintain a daily log of progress throughout the project from commencement to completion.
