Citrus County, Florida (“County”) invites interested parties to submit a Proposal to provide specialized services related to the Transportation of Leachate on an as-needed basis. Citrus County Central Landfill’s Operation Permit requires an in place Contingency Plan for the Leachate System Facilities during emergency operations. Emergency Operations consist of: 1) equipment failure, 2) storm events generating leachate in excess of storage facility capacity of 120,000 gallons, 3) FDEP permit limits on leachate quality. The amount of leachate to be transported during emergency operations could be between 10,000 gallons and 90,000 gallons per day, up to 7 days per week. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
