VITA (Vancouver Innovation, Technology and Arts) Elementary School will be a new elementary school for VPS. The building is designed as a four-story post tensioned concrete structure with innovative spaces for teaching and learning. The exterior of the building is comprised of two stories of metal panels over two stories of brick base and a fitness area with adhered masonry cladding. The construction of the school is the first part of a future Innovation campus for Vancouver. Project scope includes the school structure, accessory structures (generator and trash and recycling enclosures as well as a remote covered play structure) playground and site improvements to support the school and future campus.
