The work consists of replacing approximately 5,350 linear feet of 8-inch cast iron water main in East Main Street and West Main Street with new 12-inch ductile iron water main. Work will also include installation of new hydrants, new services to property lines, and roadway restoration. The work also includes three bid alternates. Bid Alternate No. 1 includes replacing approximately 2,900 linear feet of existing 6-inch cast iron water main in West Main Street with new 8-inch and 12-inch ductile iron water main, Bid Alternate No. 2 includes replacing existing approximately 3,650 linear feet of cast iron water main with 8-inch ductile iron water main in West Main Street, and Bid Alternate No. 3 includes cleaning and cement lining approximately 200 linear feet of existing 8-inch cast iron pipe in East Main Street. The Work will be substantially completed within 180 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 210 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed.
