Work of the project involves: Partial removal of the bridge deck and sidewalk at existing strip joint seal assemblies at Abutments 1 and 7. Removal of existing strip joint seal assemblies and installation of new strip joint seal assemblies at Abutments 1 and 7, replacement of elastomeric bearings at both abutments, including jacking and temporary support of the bridge superstructure, removal and replacement of sidewalk joint armor at both abutments, and resetting of curb plates at both abutments. The location of work is on the West Silver Eagle Road Bridge and Overhead between Northgate Blvd and Norwood Ave. The west approach to the bridge/overhead carries San Juan Rd; the east approach carries West Silver Eagle Rd (the name changes near the east abutment). The bridge/overhead crosses (from west to east) a levee access road, the Natomas East Main Drain (Steelhead Creek), another levee access road, the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR)(1 track) and Western Ave. Questions are due no later than 5:00 PM on Oct 27th. Project duration is 90 working days. A 5% Local Business Enterprise (LBE) project participation requirement.
