1.1. On-call services under this Agreement may include (SEE LIST OF ANTICIPATED SERVICES IN SECTION 1.6 OF THIS APPENDIX) Projects will be assigned through the use of Task Orders on an on-call, as needed basis. 1.2. When the Community identifies a need or suitable task for the Consultant, the Community will provide, verbally or in writing, a draft Scope of Work to the Consultant. The Community will designate a Project Manager and funding source in the Scope of Work. In some cases, the Consultant may be asked to assist in the preparation of the Scope of Work. 1.3. The Consultant will respond to the Community with a written proposal, if they are interested in the work. The Consultant’s proposal will include: (a) their availability to perform the work requested, (b) Scope of Work. (c) Schedule, (d) a list of deliverables, and (e) the not-to-exceed or lump sum price (and basis for same) to perform the work. 1.4. If selected to perform the work, the Community will prepare a Task Order (for signature and approval by both the Community and Consultant) and a Purchase Order Modification. Task Orders will typically be negotiated based on a not-to-exceed dollar amount (including reimbursable and sub-consultant costs). Ideally, the Community intends to have an executed Task Order and Purchase Order Modification within two (2) weeks of an identified project or task. Upon execution of the Task Order and Purchase Order Modification, the Community will issue the Consultant a Notice to Proceed. 1.5. Some of the assigned projects will require a quick turn-around. The Consultant must be able to adequately staff and work with the Community to provide timely services. 1.6. The Community anticipates the following types of professional services. Consultants services may include, but not be limited to, the following areas of work: a. Proficiency and licenses for drafting, modeling, and team collaboration in the following software programs, for use as acceptable to the Community: Revit, AutoCAD, BlueBeam Revu, and Microsoft Teams 365. b. For all deliverables, native file formats (.rvt, .dwg, .doc, .xls, and so on) for drafting, modeling, specifications, and technical writing shall to be provided to the designated Community project representative upon completion. All reports and documentation will become the property of the Community for their unrestricted use. c. Perform structural calculations, BIM modeling, drafting of structural contract documents, editing of structural specifications, review of structural shop drawings, response to requests for information, construction observation, technical consultations and/or construction overviews, and special investigations and/or reports. Field investigations and testing to include inspections to determine existing conditions of a buildings or structures, determining structural capacities, as-built conditions, and investigations that may be required during design and construction on some projects. e. Perform special investigations that may include: making recommendations on conversion of existing structures to new type of use or load condition, structural investigations of termite-infested or fire-damaged structures, live-load studies on existing floors, location of existing structural reinforcement by x-ray, thermal, or other means, and checking structural engineering calculations for various structures to including but not limited to: roof trusses, pipe columns, retaining walls, stem walls, box culverts, and masonry walls. f. Copies of all field test results, reports, and documentation must be provided to the designated Community project representative upon completion. All reports and documentation will become the property of the Community. 2.7. The Consultant agrees to furnish all services, labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, supplies and anything else necessary to perform the Work in strict compliance with the requirements of the Contract Documents listed above, local building authorities and Community’s Representative. Consultant’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, all payroll taxes, insurance, benefits, business license and insurance. Consultant shall perform his work in a diligent and workmanship-like manner causing no delays or interference with the work of others. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
