This project includes the rehabilitation of the Water Pollution Control Plant's primary effluent pump station (PEPS) via rebuilding, or replacement, of identified vertical turbine pumps, swing check valves and isolation butterly valves. Rebuilding activities may include, but are not limited to, replacement of specific pump and valve components such as gaskets, seals, bearing, shafts and/or impellers. The specific pump and valve repairs shall be completed by qualified technicians and the overall schedule of events must comply with owner requirements, as specified in this contract. Owner anticipates that the Project’s total bid price will be approximately $410,000. The Project has an expected duration of approximately 280 calendar days. Contractor must provide proof of registration with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) in the form of a PDF extract from DIR Public Works Registration website. Successful Bidder shall pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages in accordance with California Labor Code, Section 1770 et seq. as determined by the DIR. In accordance with California Labor Code Section 1770, et seq., Contractor and subcontractor must submit certified payroll records (CPRs) to the Labor Commissioner. In accordance with California Labor Code Section 1771.4, the project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the California DIR. All questions and requests for information must be submitted through the Public Purchase website. Questions received less than 10 days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security in the amount of 10% of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid andall alternates). Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
