County of San Benito Resource Management Agency (RMA) requests proposals from qualified professional to provide full construction contract administration and construction engineering services for the Limekiln Road Bridge Replacement Project (Project) in accordance with the applicable provisions in the Caltrans Local Assistance Procedures Manual (LAPM) and Caltrans Construction Manual (CCM). It is the intent of the County to engage the most qualified consultant to provide construction engineering services as described herein. However, the County reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to terminate this RFP process or negotiations with a selected consultant and either perform the work with the next qualified consultant or with its staff or begin a new RFP process. Nothing herein or in this process, shall be construed as obligating the County to pay any expenses incurred by respondents to this RFP, or to the selected consultant(s). The proposed project is the replacement of an existing bridge (Bridge No. 43C0054) over Pescadero Creek with a new, longer, and wider bridge which would accommodate two traffic lanes. The bridge is located in a rural area approximately 11 miles (mi) south of Hollister. The existing bridge is of 22 ft long and 14.1 ft wide. The proposed bridge will be a cast-in-place reinforced concrete slab bridge approximately 41 ft in length, 35.5 ft in width, and clear spanning the creek with Caltrans Type 842 railings. The new bridge, meeting current design standards, will provide two 12-ft traffic lanes with adjacent 4 ft shoulders. DBE goal is 16%. Prevailing wages.
