Berkley Heights Park Basketball Court Improvements, Waterbury, CT

The City of Waterbury, Department of Engineering, solicits proposals from qualified third parties for Berkley Heights Park Basketball Court Improvements as more fully detailed in the attached. The scope of work for this Project involves reclaiming or removal and proper disposal of the existing basketball court surface and the existing posts and backboards including their concrete foundations. The court shall then be expanded as shown on the plans by excavating and installing new base material. The disturbed subbase will then be graded, compacted and prepared for construction of the new court. New posts, backboards and hoops shall be installed, aligned and fastened in position with new concrete foundations. Forms shall be placed and secured, post-tensioning cables shall be installed, and concrete shall be placed, finished and cured. After the forms have been stripped and the concrete properly cured the post tensioning cables shall be stressed as specified. The court surface shall then be painted with the required coverings. New team benches shall be installed, and all disturbed areas shall be restored to a suitable condition.
