Work under this item shall consist of replacing plastic water service connections with copper water service connections for all connections less than or equal to two (2) inches in diameter. Since the main purpose of this project is to replace the plastic service with copper service line the Contractor may (except for the compression fittings) use the corporation stop as well as the curb boxes, if in good conditions. No need for new taps to the water main and no need for new curb boxes are expected. However, a unit cost has been included in the price table just for the event they are needed due to their condition or if there is leaking. The cost for Trench excavation, pavement removal and backfill, sidewalk removal and backfill, pipe bedding, traffic control, leakage tight testing, trench paving, sidewalk replacement, protection of trees and shrubs and other appurtenant work will not be measured for payment, as it is to be included in the price for the copper pipe.

The Town of Manchester solicits bids for grinding / shredding services. The Town accepts clean wood and yard wastes at the landfill / transfer station facility located at 311 Olcott Street. The Town is seeking a contractor to grind / shred these materials currently stockpiled at the facility, as may be needed throughout the year. Materials are accepted from both residents and commercial sources (i.e., contractors and landscapers). Leaves from local resident drop off are typically bagged. Accepted materials include: Mixed yard wastes, including leaves, grass, and small brush - bagged and unbagged; Land-clearing wood, including brush, limbs, and trunks; Stumps and large logs requiring shearing; and Clean wood, including pallets, spools, and clean (unfinished) lumber The Town may hire different contractor(s) to grind the various materials listed above. The selected contractor(s) will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, and other incidentals necessary to manage these materials.

The City of Norwich, Office of Community Development solicits bids under its Rehabilitation Project consisting of roofing the main house (all shingled surfaces, and all porch overhangs/outcroppings) at 177 Baltic Road, Norwich, CT. The C side rolled roof portion was recently done- a new ridge cap will be required to connect the newly shingled portion of the roof to the existing rolled roof on the C side of the property. The Town of Watertown is seeking bids for the milling and paving of Wilson Dr and Bunker Hill Rd. based on the scope of work provided in the project documents. The Town of Granby is seeking proposals from experienced contractors specializing in historic building preservation and rehabilitation. This RFP covers Phase 1 - Part 3: Exterior Repairs of the F.H. Cossitt Library, specifically addressing work on the building's exterior below the clerestory. The project will be overseen by the Director of Library Services and the Director of Public Works who will act on behalf of the Town of Granby to ensure the restoration is completed in accordance with historic preservation standards, maintaining the Library's architectural integrity and long-term durability. The Town of Ellington solicits electronic proposals for the provision of labor, services & material to assist the Water Pollution Control Authority under the guidance of the Director of Public Works with the sewer project which consists of providing approximately 800 linear feet of 8-inch SDR35 PVC gravity sewer, sanitary sewer manholes, approximately 300 linear feet of 6-inch SDR35 PVC service connection piping, approximately 65 linear feet of 8-inch SDR35 PVC service connection piping, and connection to an existing gravity manhole on Windermere Avenue. Furthermore, the project includes removing and resetting or replacing existing site improvements, restoring disturbed areas to existing conditions or better, and replacing bituminous concrete on Town Roads.

The City of Stamford, for its Facilities & Sustainability Department, solicits sealed bids from qualified responsible contractors to provide for the service, maintenance & repair of over 130 overhead doors located at various City of Stamford facilities during both emergency & non-emergency operations. The scope of work is further delineated in the specifications provided for this project. The terms bidder and contractor are used interchangeably in this document. The City of Stamford, for the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) Department, solicits sealed bids from qualified responsible contractors to provide landscape maintenance of the Stamford Hurricane Barrier. The scope of work essentially comprises of keeping the barrier riprap clear of all trees, vegetation and debris along the slopes, top of the barrier and 15 feet from the toe of the barrier and along the seawalls on both the landward and seaward sides. Also included is mowing of grass at certain areas along West Beach, Wallace Street, Dyke lane Pumping station and at entrance to Kosciuszko Park, and removal of tree limbs and brush on the seaward side of the barrier at Dyke Lane pump station to facilitate WPCA vehicles accessing the discharge from the pump station.

Roof Access System Upgrade at Capital Community College involving installation of OSHA-compliant tie-back anchors, localized roofing and insulation removal and replacement, and structural modifications at roof and penthouse areas, including skylight removal and deck reconstruction.

Eastern Connecticut State University (ECSU) solicits bids for low rise structural repairs. The Project involves: 1.
