Allegany County is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide engineering services to prepare a design, including site plans and specifications, to construct a new package secondary treatment system adjacent to the existing Oldtown Wastewater Treatment Plant. The existing plant was originally constructed in 1980, and several key components are reaching the end of their useful life. The equipment and steel basins are aging, and the existing plant has no capacity for nutrient removal. The scope of the project is to evaluate alternatives to address identified deficiencies, as well as to examine improvements to meet ENR requirements in the future. Bonds required.
