This project, located in Baltimore County, is for the maintenance and preservation of environmental assets including the SHA District 4 Office and the Golden Ring, Owings Mills, and Hereford Maintenance Shops (District 4). Environmental Assets include but are not limited to landscape planting beds, individual trees, tree planting sites, turf areas, stream sites and wetlands within SHA facilities and right-of-ways, easements held by SHA, and areas under agreement with SHA. The work will consist of: (a) Management of Landscape Areas, including the activities of pruning and foliage removal, weed control, and litter and debris removal within landscape planting beds and individual tree pits on a rotational basis. (b) Management of Turf Areas, including mowing, trimming, and litter and debris removal within managed turf areas on a rotational basis. (c) Additional maintenance and preservation activities will be performed as additional work assignments when directed and may include the installation and establishment of trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses, and naturalized bulbs; mulching; brush hogging and brush mowing; herbicide application; watering of plant material; insecticide application; and crew activities associated with the Crew for Environmental Asset Management specification. DBE GFE required.
