It is the intent of Salisbury University (“SU” or the “University”) through this Request for Proposal (“RFP”) to solicit proposals for a full-service contract for the supply and operation of approximately 280 washers and 280 dryers to replace the full-service contract machines currently in place on campus, and Sea Gull Square (SGS), in Sea Gull Village (SGV), and in the custodial supply closet located in AC. Contractor will provide, install, and maintain new washing and drying equipment in 12 Residential Halls and 1 custodial supply closet on the campus of Salisbury University. The ideal system will provide SU resident students with unlimited access to washers and dryers, upon availability, during both the Fall and Spring academic terms. The ideal system will have high efficiency equipment. In halls where there is common laundry, Web based monitoring and automatic detergent dispensers are required. Machines will operate on a free play basis at no cost to the end user. Provider will be committed to customer service with a short response time of 24hrs. to equipment repairs and/or replacement. The University desires to provide this service to students while maximizing sustainability.
