The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as “VDOT”) is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide all equipment, labor, tools, and transportation necessary to perform on-call, as needed asphalt patching operations on Interstate highways in Washington, Smyth, Wythe, and Bland Counties located in the Bristol District in accordance with the specifications contained herein. This contract will be awarded in five (5) lots. Bidders may bid on one or more lots. If a Bidder is successful in being awarded multiple lots, the Bidder shall be capable of providing necessary services and equipment as specified for each lot simultaneously. Lot 1: Zone A - I-381 and I-81 from Tennessee State Line to mile marker 26.9; Lot 2: Zone B - I-81 from mile marker 26.9 to mile marker 54; Lot 3: Zone C - I-81 from mile marker 54 to mile marker 73; Lot 4: Zone C - I-77 from (mile marker 41) to East River Mountain Tunnel; and Lot 5: Zone D - I-81 from mile marker 73 to mile marker 87.3 and I-77 from I-81 (mile marker 32) to Carroll County Line (mile marker 24.2). SBE goal 42%. Prevailing wages.
