The City of Charlottesville is accepting bids for Clark Elementary School Summer Painting 2024. The scope of services generally includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: A. Estimated size of project area is 16,000 square feet of floor space. This is not the calculated amount of total wall surface to be painted. This project is limited to the Media Center and front entrance/foyer wing(s). All vertical-paintable surfaces/walls in classrooms, hallways, office, restrooms and common areas are to be prepared, primed and painted. However, most of this project will be painting metal railings, stairs and window frames. This project will require extensive work from scaffolding or mechanical lifts. B. Preparation of all surfaces to be painted, as noted on the Related Documents; C. Repair of plaster and drywall surfaces that are to be painted, as noted on Related Documents; D. Application of specified primer and topcoat finishes on all surfaces to be painted, as noted on the Related Documents; E. Provision of competent management and supervision of the project at all times; and, F. Thorough cleaning of the project site. Bonds required.
