The Fairfax County Department of Vehicle Services (DVS) is responsible for servicing, maintaining, and supplying highway vehicle fuel to 54 fuel sites and one (1) aviation fuel site. Fuel sites are located at police stations, fire stations, schools, DVS maintenance facilities, Public Works facilities, and Park Authority maintenance centers. Scope: 1. Repair of Vehicle Fuel Pumps and Dispensers (GasBoy, Bennett) and Blue Energy Equipment to include DEF dispensers, 2. Repair of Tank Gauging and Monitoring System (Veeder Root) and Fuel Force, the County’s computerized vehicle management fuel systems. 3. Cleaning of Underground Fuel Oil Storage Tanks as needed. 4. Testing and Certification of Tanks, Lines and Veeder Root. 5. Repair of concrete and asphalt at fuel islands, replace fuel islands, and repair concrete pads over underground storage tanks, including repairing/fixing drainage issues. 6. Clean-up of minor fuel spills. 7. Perform walkthrough inspections and inspect certain equipment every 30 days (and some equipment annually) as prescribed by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Underground Storage Tank Technical Regulation.
