The Town of Purcellville is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide geotechnical consulting, testing and inspection services, on an as-needed basis. The Town will select multiple contractors based on their skills and abilities to provide the services identified, but each contractor does not necessarily have to be capable of providing all the skills listed. The Town is selecting a group of contractors to ensure that all service categories are covered between the different firms. Scope: 1) Detailed Site Investigations – The scope of investigation shall vary with each individual project. The investigation shall include but not be limited to soil boring information, which shall provide profile description to identify soil types, the presence and depth of rock, the presence of any plastic or expansive clay materials, and bearing capacity of suitable material. 2) Construction Inspection and Testing Services for: Earthwork, Cast-in-place Concrete, Bituminous Paving, Structural Steel/Wood Inspections, and Reporting Services.
