Work under this contract entails the replacement of wood pole assets that are at the end of serviceable life. These poles are rated as P1 and P2 meaning they have a potential of imminent failure. Associated primary conductors and pole equipment such as transformers, switches, services and other appurtenances will be transferred or replaced as part of the replacement work. The Contract duration is for a period of 1 year, starting from the date of Notice to Proceed for the first Work Package issued, or until the date that the total payment requested meets the Not to Exceed award amount, whichever is earlier. Contract time may be extended one additional year upon mutual agreement.

The City of Seattle Department of Finance and Administrative Services (FAS), Capital Development Division (CD) is initiating planning for a new approximately 50,000 square foot Seattle Animal Shelter (SAS) on City-owned property. The new facility will replace the existing Interbay shelter, which no longer meets operational, capacity, or community needs. The project will create a modern, purpose-built facility that reflects best practices in animal welfare, expands veterinary and community services, and provides a safe, welcoming environment for animals, staff, volunteers, and the public. In addition, site planning will also account for potential co-location of the Seattle Police Departments Canine (K9) Unit, which will require physically separated indoor and outdoor spaces. Through this RFQ, the City seeks an experienced architectural consultant team to lead programming and predesign, refine space requirements, assess site and operational considerations, and support public engagement to establish a strong foundation for future design.

The Project consists of the installation of an 8 Reduced Pressure Backflow Assembly (RPBA) and enclosure, a 10 RPBA and Enclosure, and electrical service improvements at Bellevue College in Bellevue, Washington. Additive alternates include: Add. Alt. #1: New electrical feeders from switchboard in Building to outdoor panel. Add. Alt. #2: Replacement of the City owned 10 Water meter and vault, including removal of the existing water meter and vault. Scope of work is indicated on the contract drawings and specifications. Seattle Public Schools (district) is requesting statements of qualifications and proposals from General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM) firms to support the districts Capital Projects division to provide preconstruction and construction services for the Jane Addams MS Seismic and Miscellaneous Improvements project identified in the Buildings Excellence (BEX) V Capital Levy and in the Building, Technology, Academics/Athletics (BTA) V Capital Levy.

Work to be performed under this contract includes, but is not limited to: Demolition of existing overwater concrete pier structures and removal of creosote-treated timber piles; waterfront plaza soil remediation; and construction of plaza improvements such as rock terraces, ADA-accessible routes, upgraded pavement surfaces, and landscaping. In-water work includes driving small- and large-diameter steel piles; delegated engineering design, manufacturing, and installation of a floating concrete wave attenuator and mooring float; delegated engineering design, manufacturing, and installation of a low-freeboard, floating special purpose dock for non-motorized personal watercraft; steel fabrication of grated overwater piers and gangway abutments supported by steel piles; placement of aluminum ADA compliant gangways to provide float access; nearshore lakebed cleanup; and fiberglass jacketing and grouting of existing creosote-treated timber piles. Additional site work includes construction of fire protection standpipes with associated trenching; trenching for electrical service improvements; irrigation improvements; and improvements to beach access. Requires 15% of all labor hours to be performed by apprentices registered in a State Approved Apprenticeship Program.

Work includes replacing the onsite hypochlorite generation system including the brine and hypochlorite storage tanks, replacing the hot water tank, installing secondary containment coatings and chemical resistance epoxy flooring, replacing the sodium hydroxide vent and fill piping, replacing butterfly valves, demolishing the unused air piping system and backup hypochlorite feed system.

This work will require minimum five years of experience and certification for cable splicing and work within the medium voltage substations. The Contractor shall be qualified and possess a minimum of five years of experience in pulling and replacement of medium voltage feeder cable systems. The Contractor shall be qualified to perform other related electrical work as assigned.

Total Small Business Set-Aside, 238330 - Flooring Contractors. The U.S. Coast Guard requires services for the contractor to furnish all labor, tools, equipment, materials, supervision and incidentals for the removal and replacement of carpet tile for the Facilities Design & Construction Center (FD&CC) Seattle offices on the 26th Floor of the Jackson Federal Building, to include the removal and replacement of the rubber wall base.

Work includes but is not limited to: 1. Good faith asbestos inspection(s) testing to comply with RCW 49.26.013 as required to achieve scope of work. 2. Removal and replacement of all existing roofing materials and 234 sheets of plywood deck sheathing as well as 320LF of fascia board. Provide and install new CDX plywood deck sheathing and roofing materials according to manufacturers recommended installation specifications. 3. Inspect all exposed roof framing for any rot or damaged materials and repair as needed. 4. Block and seal any existing gable vents from attic interior. 5. Provide and install all new approved roofing system components: a. Install approved Ice and Water shield roof underlayment to all critical areas and valleys. b. Install approved synthetic roof underlayment. c. Install approved composition roofing system. 6. Install Gibraltar Building Products PRV50BL Plastic Roof Vent or approved equal with minimum 50 sq.in Net Free Area ventilation. Total free area of ventilation must meet code requirements for attic ventilation. 7. Install Cor-A-Vent IN-Vent Attic Roof Vent or approved equal. Block eave vents after installation. 8. Install all metal 24-gauge flashing components according to manufacturers recommendations including roof penetration flashing, roof to wall flashing, eave and rake flashings and W-Valley flashing. 9. Install permanent fall arrest/restraint roof anchors and all other accessory items to complete the installation and maintenance of the roof in a safe and secure manner. 10. Install new fascia boards where there is any decay or rot that would prevent the exterior paint to be applied and warranted. Include painting of all fascia prior to installation of new gutters. (See Section 1.5 UNIT COSTS for details.) 11. Install new 5 K-style aluminum gutters and 2x3 aluminum downspouts to match existing locations. 12. Removal, disposal and replacement of all siding at rake walls above roof line for buildings N, P, Q, R, S and Rec Room. 13. Removal and replacement of WRB behind siding at rake walls. 14. Installation of all flashings, SAM and penetration gaskets required for a complete siding system at rake walls. 15. Haul away and dispose of all debris and demolished materials. 16. Include painting all b-vent flashings, roof accessories and lead pipe flashings as needed. 17. Daily cleaning and final cleaning of all trash and debris. 18. Prevailing wage rates to be included. 19. Acceptable roofing products must meet these warranty requirements: Contractors workmanship warranty for a period of two (2) years from final completion. Subcontractors labor and materials for a period of two (2) years from final completion. Roofing manufacturers warranty of 100% materials and labor for five (5) years without proration or reductions. Roofing manufacturers 40-year warranty for materials. 20. Provide all applicable permits.

The City of Seattle, through its Seattle Public Utilities, is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to select a contractor to provide long-haul transportation and disposal services for non-recycled Solid Waste generated in the City (residential and nonresidential). The resulting services contract will replace SPUs current longhaul and disposal contract.

VRFA Fire Station 38 portion: the project includes a new two-story Fire Station of approximately 14,960 sq. ft. and associated site and offsite work. The station will be a steel framed structure on deep foundations with (3) full apparatus bays, support spaces, crew workspaces, crew living spaces, and (7) sleeping rooms. The site is approximately 1.16 acres. Site and offsite work includes site structures, storm water systems, utilities, landscaping, paving, frontage improvements, and additional work VRFA Administrative Headquarters portion: The Project includes approximately 18,400 square feet of remodeling (including extensive demolition and repartitioning of spaces) of an existing medical office building. The project includes exterior envelope improvements and site work at the perimeter of the building and at two parking lots plus alternate items. The Owner may issue a single Notice to Proceed or separate Notices to Proceed to commence the VRFA Fire Station 38 and VRFA Administrative Headquarters portions of the Project. The Owner intends for the two portions of the Project to be in construction concurrently during their respective durations.
