Whatcom County Public Works requests bids for the Swift Creek Action Plan 2026 Construction project. This contract provides for the improvement of Swift Creek site access, construction of haul roads, culvert installation, activities related to the management of Swift Creek sediment, excavation, and embankment related to repository development, and other work.
This contract provides for the installation of approximately 700 lineal feet of 12-inch storm sewer pipe, 13 type-1 catch basins, one (1) type-2 catch basin, 225 lineal feet of curb and gutter, roadway excavation, grading, landscape restoration, gravel and asphalt surface restoration, and other work, as further described in the bid documents.
The construction contract includes asphalt paving, constructing a concrete valley gutter, replacement and installation of new stormwater catch basins and the associated stormwater drain pipe, installing oil/water separators, and a flow splitter and other site work, at Whatcom Countys Central Shop. There is an apprenticeship utilization minimum requirement of 15% of total labor hours for this contract.

Whatcom County Library System (WCLS) invites bid proposals from qualified contractors that can provide building renovation and site upgrades to convert an existing single-family residence into a Library Express branch. The scope generally includes substantial alterations to the existing structure, miscellaneous site improvements, accessibility upgrades, and flood mitigation measures. Additional work includes structural upgrades and the replacement of existing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

This contract provides for the mowing and brushing of the Lynden (LE), Sumas Nooksack Everson (SNE), and Acme Van Zandt (AVZ) Subzones. maintained levee segments, as further described in the bid documents.
Electrical power (208/120 volts, three phase, 40-amp capacity): The County will provide shore power cord. Contractor shall provide plug or hardware to service. Fire main: A continuous and uninterrupted supply of water to fire manifold on deck, delivered at a minimum of 100 PSI. Manifold shall be 2 with two (2) 1 fire hoses with nozzles that will reach any part of the vessel. Gangway: One (1) gangway meeting OSHA requirements. Garbage disposal: Daily removal of garbage and refuse generated by the vessels crew, in addition to any refuse service required by the Contractors operation. A dumpster shall be provided by the Contractor near the access ladder/gangway as soon as possible after docking. The dumpster shall be emptied weekly with additional removals as necessary. For bidding purposes, assume that two (2) 2-yard dumpsters are to be provided.
This project is soliciting contractors to perform the following work at the North end of Wilson Library on Western Washington University's Bellingham campus: removal of an existing concrete stairway and construction of a new accessible ramp and stairway. Scope of work includes demolition of the existing stairway, new concrete ramp and stair construction, site grading, irrigation, and associated site work. Additive alternates include an eastward extension of the accessible ramp and sidewalk improvements at High Street Hall.
