Bus Station & Turnaround: 2,850 +/- s.f. single story precast concrete with natural stone veneer. 28,000+/- s.f. Bus Passenger Loading Island with 13 bus berths canopies and shelters. 23,000 +/- s.f. concrete and clay paver pedestrian plaza. Structural Precast Concrete facing of two existing railroad viaducts. 1 block long reconstruction of St. Louis Street, including single lane widening as well as 1 block long reconstruction of Osgood Street. Foundation demolition of an existing 46,000 s.f. warehouse building. 2.0 acre-foot expansion of an existing dry bottom retention pond. Construction of two parking lots, 57 stalls and 30 stalls. New site construction includes earthwork, site utilities, concrete curb and gutter, clay pavers, site lighting, site amenities, way finding signage, ornamental fencing, and landscaping. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or a Bid Bond in the amount of Ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid, payable to the City of Joliet. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
