The proposed Ortega Highway/Del Obispo Street Gateway Landscaping Project provides hardscape and landscape improvements to the City-owned parcel at the southwest corner of Ortega Highway and Del Obispo Street, and improvements to the privately-owned parcel at the northeast corner of Ortega Highway and Del Obispo Street and construction of a landscaped median that would be constructed just west of the I-5 Freeway. The improvements would involve enhanced drainage and irrigation, low-stone masonry walls, and a robust planting palette including citrus trees, shrubs, succulents and wood chips. Bonds required.
