This 2017 General Obligation Bond Authorization project provides for drainage improvements to the super span at I-44 and Classen Boulevard. A field assessment of the structure has been performed to identify potential repairs and cost estimates for each type of work. Repairs shall include, but are not limited to identifying and shoring deflection in the top of the tunnel, reinforcing structural steel, identifying and removing all tie rod assemblies and connection plates, identifying defects in columns and column anchor plates, identifying and repairing cracks and exposed concrete reinforcement in concrete box walls and ceilings, and identifying and sealing abandoned storm sewer opening.
