he City of Cocoa is seeking a qualified contractor to furnish all materials, service, equipment, and labor required, for the Fiske Blvd. Roadway and Broadmoor Acres Drainage Improvements Project which includes roadway improvements on N. Fiske Blvd from Peachtree Street to W. Highland Drive, the installation of stormwater piping and roadside swales in the Broadmoor Acres Subdivision. The N. Fiske Blvd Roadway Section and Broadmoor Acres Subdivision are located approximately a half mile north of State Road 520 and east of Pineda Street, within the City of Cocoa. N. Fiske Blvd is approximately .6 miles west of US-1 and lies within Section 29, Township 24 South, and Range 36 East. The N. Fiske Blvd improvements include the installation of curbing, sidewalks, drainage, utilities. The Broadmoor Acres Subdivision was platted in 1952 and was constructed with a rear-lot drainage and limited stormwater pipe infrastructure. The Broadmoor Acres improvements include the construction of drainage piping, roadside swales, and driveway aprons. This will limit the need for the rear-lot drainage swales for more frequent rainfall events. This is a Federally Funded Project through the FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program. The Contractor will ensure all Federal grant contractual requirements are met. The Contractor will also ensure the Federally required contract clauses for FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance Grantees and Subgrantees are adhered to.
