This project, located in Prince George’s County, is for the construction of the interchange of MD 4 at Suitland Parkway at the current location of a signalized intersection. The interchange configuration is a diamond interchange with a directional ramp. The project includes the realignment of an existing service road, an access road to an existing office park, reconstruction of ramps to the AAFB, reconstruction of parts of Suitland Parkway, a service road to an industrial park, and the construction of a new signalized intersection at Presidential Parkway. The work will consist of the following: (a) Traffic control plans that include 6 phases of construction (b) Closed section roadways and storm drain features (c) Open section roadways (d) Two Stormwater management ponds (e) Three signalized intersections (f) Temporary roadway construction (g) Three bridges on Suitland Parkway directional ramp (h) One bridge on Suitland Parkway mainline (i) Widen one bridge on Suitland Parkway (j) Retaining wall construction (k) Landscaping (l) Lighting (M) Utility work. DBE goal 24%. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
