The purpose of this ITB is to obtain Bids from potential Respondents that would pick-up and dispose of dewatered biosolids from GRU’s dewatering facility. GRU utilizes aerobic digesters to at it WRFs to produce biosolids that meet Title 40 CFR Part 503 Class B pathogen reduction requirements, but not Class B vector attraction reduction (VAR) requirements. There are no plans to further digest. All work must be carried out and be consistent with approved domestic wastewater biosolids removal, treatment, and disposal practices normally observed throughout the industry and must comply with all Federal, State, County and local regulations in their most recent form. i. GRU's Domestic wastewater biosolids are comprised of sludge cake dewatered to approximately 20 percent solids. The Vendor will furnish all labor, materials, equipment, fuel, and incidentals necessary to remove, transport, and dispose of wastewater biosolids in the manner prescribed in and pursuant to the requirements of this Invitation to Bid and in accordance with including but not limited to 40CRF 503.13 and FAC 62.640.850 F.A.C. b. The disposal site must be a fully permitted Biosolids Treatment Facility or a fully permitted landfill authorized to accept biosolids with sufficient capacity for the life of the contract. c. The contractor will be responsible for hauling and disposing of this material daily, which may include weekends. d. GRU may designate a primary service provider and a secondary service provider. e. In a normal schedule, trailers will be picked up Monday through Friday between at 5:00 AM and 7:00 PM or any other arranged schedule preapproved by both parties.
