Scope of Services The City of Cocoa owns and manages the Lee Wenner Park, a 5.5 Acre waterfront access facility, which includes boat ramps, vehicle and boat trailer parking and pedestrian recreational spaces. The City of Cocoa CRA is upgrading the Lee Wenner Park to improve and expand the available parking for boating and proximate social and cultural events. The park is generally bounded by the King Street / Merritt Island Causeway ROW to the north, Riveredge Blvd to the west, and the Indian River Lagoon to the south and east. Harrison Street extension provides the ingress and egress route. The work on this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Upgrade of parking facilities, including selective demolition of existing paved and unpaved areas, drainage, and utilities. 2. Re-grading of the improvement area. 3. Construction of new drainage features, including an exfiltration trench. 4. Reconfiguration of existing paved parking. 5. Installation of new asphalt paving and concrete curbing. 6. Installation of associated pavement markings and traffic signage. 7. Installation of new conduits and lighting in compliance with the FPL lease agreement with the City of Cocoa. 8. Care and protection of new underground gas and electric transmission facilities throughout the work zone. Both FPL and City gas will have completed their work (alternate gas run & FPL fiber) through this project area by the end of April 2024. The City is finalizing the street light agreement with FPL. Be advised that there is a 6-7 month lead time on poles. FPL will provide all conduit and handholds for the backbone of the lighting for our Prime Contractor to install. FPL will install all poles/lights, pull wires, and energize the system typically within 3 weeks from NTP. Bonds required.
