Okeechobee County is soliciting Contractor services to design and construct improvements for Design Build Services at the Okeechobee County Airport Terminal Building HVAC Replacement and Upgrade. The work will include the design and installation of five (5) new Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) units. THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION SHOULD BE INCLUDED AND WILL BE USED TO EVALUATE PROPOSALS: • Assessment of the existing systems and consult with staff about existing inadequate concerns. • Removal of existing equipment and handed over to the Okeechobee County Facilities Maintenance Department. • Cleaning all duck work and ventilation. • Furnish and replace existing units with TRANE equipment. • Furnish and install UV Filtration System. • Assessment and balancing / calibration. • Prepare all permitting documents and acquire permits required for Construction. • Preparation of design, construction plans and cost estimates. Including the most energy efficient equipment options and upgrades necessary to ensure system energy efficiency. • Remove existing insulation, furnish, and install with open-cell foam insulation to the bottom of the existing roof decking. • Conduct startup and onsite training with operations staff. • Provide the County with Manuals and necessary product documentation. A contract will be executed promptly, following the proposal’s due date and completion of the proposal evaluations. Project will proceed immediately thereafter. The project must have completed verification and validation testing for final inspection by Okeechobee County on or before September 1, 2024. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
