The work to be performed, in general, consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required by the Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents for the Cyprus Shore Grading, Storm Drain, Gravity Sewer, Sewer Force Main, and Sewer Lift Station Improvements. This generally includes installation of approximately 225 linear feet of 36-inch RGRCP pipe; approximately 180 linear feet of 24- inch RGRCP pipe; approximately 85 linear feet of 18-inch RGRCP pipe; construction of six (6) catch basins (and connectors); construction of approximately 36.5-feet of 8-inch PVC gravity sewer under an existing 8-inch VCP gravity sewer and maintaining sewer flows; construction of 1,190 linear feet of PVC sewer force main with two connections to the existing 6-inch AC force main with thrust blocks and restrained joints; construction of a new sewer 48- inch diameter manhole on an existing 8-inch VCP gravity sewer; construction of a new submersible lift station in a 7-feet diameter, 28-feet deep circular wet well with a valve vault and a meter vault, connecting to the existing force main, 10-inch diameter diversion pipe from existing manhole to new lift station wet well; installing two slide rail submersible pumps; construction of a 10-inch diameter overflow pipe from the new wet well to the existing 8-inch gravity sewer west of the diversion manhole; construction of approximately 400 linear feet of 4-inch Schedule 80 PVC conduit with pull rope and pull boxes from an existing SDG&E manhole on Calle Ariana north of Avenida de las Palmera to a new transformer pad, and from the transformer pad to the new SDG&E meter adjacent to the existing electrical building; construction of approximately 250 feet of 2-inch Cox communication conduit with pull rope and pull boxes from the existing pull box in Avenida de las Palmera to the existing lift station electrical building; construction of six (6) 2-inch conduits, and pull boxes from the new motor control center in the existing lift station electrical building with power, grounding and communication wires; construction of new 200 Amp, 480 volt 3 phase 4 wire switchgear per SDG&E requirements, removal and legal disposal of all equipment, panels, wired, conduits, and appurtenances at the existing electrical building; construction of new SDG&E meter, surge protection device, automatic transfer switch, active harmonic filter and enclosures; construction of motor control center with 30 HP VFDs and bypass solid state starters, SCADA panel, new antenna, a 80 kW diesel emergency generator with new reinforced concrete foundation, automatic transfer switch, replacement of the existing electrical building roof, door and louvers; reconstruction of storm drain ocean outlet; grading; construction of curb and gutter and asphalt paving improvements, all as described in these specifications and plans.
