SR-415 Slope Remediation. The distressed slope alignment is located on the east side of SR 415, just north of the pedestrian Bridge No. 790198 in Osteen, Volusia County, Florida. The current site conditions include a 10-foot­ wide multi-use asphalt trail with a 3-foot-wide concrete section with a mounted guiderail on the east side of the trail. The aluminum guiderail is fastened to a thickened edge portion of the concrete section. Refer to FDOT standard plans 515-070, sheet 5 of 5 for a typical section of the concrete section with Pipe Guiderail (Aluminum). The adjacent trail and concrete section with the mounted guiderail is approximately 609 feet in length. The paved trail is graded from west to east towards the guiderail. The trail and guiderail are supported on engineered fill with geosynthetic reinforcement. (Reference: FDOT project 407355-3-52-01). A grassed stormwater swale is located on the west side of the trail, while an existing low-lying wet area is located east of the trail alignment. Bonds required.
