The scope of work is to clean and paint select areas inside and outside of 16 weathering steel box girder bridges on I-95 and I-395 south of the FMT. The work will involve shielding of work areas, abrasive blasting, recovery of cleaning medium and debris, and the application of sealers, primers and topcoat paint. Maintenance of traffic, typically shoulder closures, will be required during offpeak traffic periods to set up shielding and equipment and to deliver supplies. The project may involve structural steel repairs discovered during the bridge cleaning operations. MBE goal 11%. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
