The Board of Commissioners for Charles County are hereby requesting bids from qualified contractors for the rehabilitation of the Westlake Water Tower located in Waldorf, MD. The water tower was built in 1988, it is 2,000,000 gallon, legged, elevated, and is 103' diameter, 119' bottom capacity level, 154' overflow. Based on inspection reports, and good engineering practices, necessary repairs were identified which include cleaning and repainting of the tank on the interior dry surfaces, interior wet surfaces, and the exterior surfaces. The scope of work also includes upgrades to the cathodic protection system, miscellaneous metal repairs, and miscellaneous lighting work. MBE goal 25%. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
