The City of College Station is soliciting Proposal(s) (RFPs) from firms who are interested and qualified to perform right-of-way, tree trimming and /or removal of trees and vegetation, within the Electric Service area of College Station, Texas as specified in this Request for Proposal (RFPs). It is the intent of the City of College Station to select a single contractor to accomplish all the services outlined in this Request for Proposal for an Annual Service Agreement for a term of 3 years.

The project involves the construction of a multi-lane roundabout at the Jones Butler Road and Holleman Drive South intersection at North Dowling Road, along with an extension of Jones Butler Road to FM 2818. Improvements include sidewalks, traffic striping, traffic rail, screen fencing and concrete paving. Utilities include storm drainage improvements, wastewater and large diameter water line installation. Demolition of existing pavements, utilities, trees, fencing, etc. is included, as well as erosion control, restorative vegetation, and a traffic control plan. All proposals shall follow the format provided by the City of College Station. The City is seeking a construction company with quality experience in road and utility reconstruction.

The City of College Station invites qualified contractors to submit bids for the construction of a new traffic signal at the intersection of Barron Road and Decatur Drive, including associated roadway, signal, electrical, and traffic control improvements.

The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to mechanically clear approximately 55 acres of mixed South Texas brush using a dozer or equivalent mechanical equipment capable of producing comparable results. Work includes vegetation removal, debris piling, burning, and removal of old fencing as encountered. All work must be performed in a manner that protects environmental features, existing infrastructure, and ranch operations.

Contractor is responsible for removing the two wood pole structures that are the first structures of two separate transmission lines that are the first structure after the substation h-frame deadend. Contractor is further responsible for unloading, building concrete foundations and installation of two replacement steel deadend structures, removing old conductor, installing new conductor between the existing lines and the new substation deadend structures. Existing fiber optic cables into the substation from these lines will be partially removed and connected to new fiber facilities. Contractor shall meet with BTU Staff to receive on-site personal briefing prior to any fiber activity which interrupts the integrity of existing fiber facilities. Contractor will be responsible for removing the two existing transformers from the Shady Lane Substation in conjunction with Sunbelt-Solomon. Contractor will be responsible for transferring the two new transformers from their storage location at Tabor Substation (fm984 at Boatcallie Road, Bryan, TX) to Shady Lane Substation. Contractor must allow enough time in their schedule for final assembly and oil processing of the new transformers at the site. Contractor shall be responsible for field testing of the two new transformers once they are assembled. Contractor will then be responsible for the remaining activities necessary to commission the new transformers. Both transformers are presently overfilled with oil pending install and filling of radiators. Some assembly work may require temporary storage of oil. Final assembly consists of installing: Three high voltage bushings Three low voltage phase bushings and one neutral bushing Eight radiators, radiator support bracing and fans Silica gel breather. The following additional transformer final assembly may be done by either the substation construction contractor or the subcontracted transformer final assembly contractor: High voltage arrester bracket, three high voltage arresters and grounding loop Three low voltage arresters and grounding loop Neutral bushing grounding bus bar.

This distribution upgrade at BTUs Jack Creek Substation will consist of the addition of two 15kV breakers to an existing distribution structure, the demo of two control house relay panels, the installation and commissioning of two relay panels, and the relocation of existing COMMS equipment.

The work under these specifications shall include but not necessarily be limited to furnishing transmission line tubular steel structures for the Tabor to Messer 138kV Line & Tabor to Rayburn 69kV Line Project. The poles shall be delivered to the Designated Delivery Location. The term Designated Delivery Location shall mean the structure stake locations or contractor laydown yard, as directed by BTU. It is the responsibility of the construction contractor to coordinate with the steel pole manufacturer on the delivery date and time; however, the delivery schedule accepted by BTU shall govern for purposes of compliance with these specifications, and the Manufacturer shall remain fully responsible for timely delivery regardless of such coordination. Time is a critical element of performance under this Specification, and the delivery schedule shall be strictly adhered to unless modified in writing by BTU.

The work under these specifications shall include but not necessarily be limited to furnishing spun concrete pole structures for the Tabor Substation to Messer Transmission Line Project, including the additional hardware specified below for assembling accessories to the poles. The poles to be delivered at the structure stake locations or contractor laydown yard.
