The intent of this Request for Proposal solicitation is to acquire a vendor/contractor that will be responsible for inspection of culverts and discharge pipes that are part of the Texas City Levee hurricane protection system. The goal of the inspections is to identify repairs necessary to maintain their function and structural integrity. The scope of work includes inspection and cleaning services for 43 culverts and discharge pipes for this project phase. The work will include cleaning, removal, and disposal of all debris and obstructions, and television/video inspections of each culvert. Cleaning will involve use of normal and mechanical equipment, collection, removal, transportation, and disposal of waste. Cleaning of the culverts is intended to improve flow and facilitate television inspection to inform County’s decision regarding rehabilitation and repair. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
