The project scope consists of the demolition of the existing Peoples Street Boardwalk and associated finger piers with utilities and construction of a New Peoples Street Boardwalk including finger piers, electrical and water utilities, benches. The existing boardwalk includes an approximately 685 ft long by 15ft wide boardwalk and 13 finger piers. The timber decking remains on approximately 245 ft of the boardwalk. Structure: New boardwalk components include precast concrete piles, pile caps and panels, composite decking with wood sleepers, guard railing. Utilities: The existing electrical supply system will be increased in capacity and electrical service pedestals will be provided for each slip, potable water supply to each slip, rubber fenders and guide piles. Furnishings: Architectural benches will be provided along the boardwalk. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
