The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to establish a contract with a qualified Contractor to furnish/provide all work and materials for completion of the Pump Station No. 043 Rehabilitation project, in accordance with the specifications of this IFB. The Work generally includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Bypass pumping from the start of the Work until Substantial Completion. 2. Demolition of existing generator room including base slab, and portions of existing driveway as shown on the plans. 3. Removal and salvage of the existing extended shaft pumps and motors, suction and discharge piping and associated valves, and existing standby emergency generator. 4. Removal of existing electrical equipment, electrical conduit, wiring, lights, instrumentation and control panels and other selective demolition items as indicated in the drawings. 5. Removal of indicated 6-inch and 8-inch on site force main and installation of new 6-inch and 8-inch force main pipe including associated valves, and appurtenances. Installation of new emergency suction and discharge pump connections. 6. Construction of all site work including grading, driveway, perimeter fence and gates, bollards, raising manholes with new watertight covers, water supply line and landscape. 7. Construction of new control room wall and repair of existing roof including replacing all shingles. 8. Construction of new meter vault and installation of new flow meter, pressure transmitter, sump pump, and associated piping. 9. Installation of two (2) vertical close-coupled solid handling pumps and one (1) diesel-driven self-priming pump, including all associated piping, valves, and appurtenances. 10. Installation of new exhaust and supply ventilators, electric heater and dehumidifier. 11. Repairing the interior of existing wet-well as indicated in the drawings and application of epoxy protective coating to all surfaces in the wet-well. 12. Installation of new electrical equipment, variable frequency drives, interior and exterior lighting fixtures, raceways, cables, wiring devices, panels, lightning protection and grounding systems, and all automated controls and equipment support systems and appurtenances. 13. Contractor shall be responsible for purchase, installation, integration of all controls, instruments, and appurtenances as shown in the contract documents. Bonds required.
