The Port of Oakland (Port) has issued this RFP or RFQ (Request) to solicit Statements of Qualifications (Response), from qualified consultants (Respondent) for on-call Marine Engineering Design services for non-federally funded projects. The firms selected will provide services for a four-year period with two one-year options to extend. The budget for all projects described is expected to not exceed $7,000,000 for all contracts over the initial 4-year term. The selected Marine Engineering Consultants for Non-Federally Funded Projects are expected to be under contract with the Port by October 2024. This Request is expected to be awarded concurrently with a forthcoming Request on-call Marine Engineering Design services for Federally Funded Projects at the Port of Oakland. Qualified consulting firms may submit Responses for both Requests, however, a firm selected under this RFQ is precluded from being selected for the Marine Engineering Design services for Federally Funded Projects at the Port of Oakland contract. If a firm is among the highest ranked firms for both Requests and is selected for a contract, the Port retains the right to award that firm the contract that best serves the interests of the Port.
