The Department of Public Works is responsible for the maintenance of Calaveras County local bridges. This project, generally described, consists of The Bridge Preventative Maintenance Program (BPMP) which was initiated in 2015 and funded through the federally funded Highway Bridge Program (HPB). There are nine (9) bridges, at this time, in need of preventative maintenance including repairing bearing supports, cleaning and painting bearings, applying methacrylate deck treatment, replacing joint seals, painting the bridge railings, removing concrete surfaces, and polyester concrete overlay. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
