The winter storms during February 2019 caused an embankment failure immediately below an existing retaining wall on Marshall Petaluma Road MP8.24. Work will generally include the installation a rip rap buttress along the slope starting from the bottom of the existing wall to the toe of slope of the creek. The width of the buttress will be approximately 75 feet wide. The existing voids along the slope will be filled with native soil and planted with willows and other native plants. The exposed concrete piers will be filled with grout. Construction for this project shall only occur between June 15 and October 15 unless granted approval from the County. Nesting bird survey is required if work is to occur between February 15 to August 31. Coordination with the County will be required for nesting bird survey. DBE goal is 18%. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
