Construction Manager / General Contractor (CMGC) services for the American River Debris Removal Project in Placer County. This RFQ will result in one (1) contract to provide preconstruction services as a Construction manager (CM) in the CMGC process throughout the design and environmental review of the American River Debris Removal Project. Placer County DPW is proposing to remove bridge debris from the American River Channel just downstream of the confluence of the North and Middle Forks between Auburn, CA and Cool, CA. in 1964, the SR-49 Bridge was washed out. At the time the Auburn Dam was scheduled to begin construction, so the decision was made to leave the debris in the river because it would eventually be at the bottom of the proposed Auburn Reservoir. However the Auburn Dam was not construction and the bridge debris has remained in the river channel for the last 60 years. The debris is a safety and environmental hazard necessitating removal. CA set aside funding for Placer County to remove the bridge debris which lies within a portion of the Auburn State Rec Area owned by the US Bureau of Reclamation and managed by CA State Parks. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
