The Project is located in the rural foothills of San Diego County approximately 6.5 miles northeast of the City of Escondido. Lake Wohlford’s beneficial uses are: flood control, municipal water supply, agricultural water supply, non-contact water recreation, freshwater habitat, wildlife habitat, and hydropower generation.
