Bid Package #2 (Modular Building) shall include: The New Gym Building, per plans, complete on concrete foundations, including footing excavation. Bid Package #2 is broken into two phases – Preconstruction services phase and Construction phase. Bid will be awarded based on the sum of both phases. The design intent is to allow the modular manufacturer to closely match the contract document within their “kit of parts”. Minor adjustments to the floor plans will be considered and will be detailed through the pre-construction services phase. The construction schedule and academic schedule may require that both new and old portions of the campus be in operation simultaneously. Modular contractor to accommodate school schedule with no interruptions of utilities during school hours. Deliveries must be coordinated with school student drop off and pick up times. Coordination with the General Contractor: Although the General Contractor is under a separate contract with the District, coordination is required. All work must be coordinated and scheduled to allow completion of both bid packages within the allowable time. Both bid package 1 and 2 contractors are responsible for this coordination and for project completion. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
