The purpose of this project is to address water quality issues associated with Well 312, located in the community of South Empire. The City has received a one million dollar Urban Drought Relief Grant from the Department of Water Resources to help fund a portion of the project. Well 312 has been offline since 2017 and this project will provide the necessary treatment & flushline improvements to meet the State’s drinking water requirements for the well to be brought back online. Improvements will include a new four unit GAC treatment plan, related instrumentation, chlorination equipment, SCADA improvements, back-up generator, flushline, and other associated civil site improvements. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
